Applikon Biotechnology Ltd, based in Tewkesbury, are global leaders in the development, manufacture and supply of online process analysers and bioreactor systems for both research and production use. They have been a customer of Total since 2006.

Applikon have been using 'YourView' since May 2007, to access their mobile call costs and data card usage. Following a demonstration from their Total Field Account Manager
(FAM), Anna Caudwell, Linda Bassett, Senior Office Manager realised 'the system could be such an asset to us.'

'Anna visits us every few months to make sure everything is running smoothly with our account and on this occasion demonstrated YourView, which took just half an hour. Now, instead of receiving our bill and any additional reports via email, we receive electronic notification that our company call data has been updated. We can then easily view and manipulate the information via direct link to Total’s billing platform.'

'One of the things that appealed to me was how user friendly YourView was. As such I have found it straightforward to use and intuitive and as a result I spend much less time sifting through bills – infact, it takes me around a quarter of the time it used to. I can access the information I want quickly and whenever I need to.'

Keeping track of individual spend, is of prime importance to the company, particularly as a large proportion of mobile usage at Applikon is international calls. Linda says 'The pre-defined reports are particularly useful as I need to ensure we stay within our inclusive minutes and don’t overspend. If this should happen it is simple for me to identify and flag up with our HQ. At the same time, I can also discuss it with my FAM who can easily adjust the tariff to suit our needs.'
