With use of the web as a primary source of information in the workplace and at home increasing, a Total customer called Everyclick have developed a very clever search engine whereby a company or an individual can raise money for charity whilst they are searching day to day – something all of us do.

Their search engine www.everyclick.com works just like Google, Yahoo! or MSN by letting you search the web, but every time you do it with Everyclick, you raise money for a cause you care about and can make a BIG difference. In fact, Everyclick give 50% of their gross revenue to charity.

Since their launch in June 2005, they have donated over £400,000 to their users’ favourite charities and are on target to raise a further £1m in 2008. They hold the details of over 170,000 charities on their website, allowing you to support any UK registered charity. With that in mind, if you already support a charity it’s a great way to increase your contributions to them.

Along with ourselves, employees at ITV Plc, The London Stock Exchange, Cadbury Schweppes, MTV Europe, Lloyd’s of London, The Scottish Government, BUPA, VT Group, The Chelsea Building Society, Experian and DSG International are searching the internet during the course of their work and raising revenue for charity.

Stuart Baikie, Managing Director at Total adds ‘We have been looking at ways to benefit our chosen charities and Everyclick gives us the ideal opportunity to do just that. The site couldn’t be easier to roll out and is also informative and quick to use.’
