Latest handsets

The N96 from Nokia is the latest addition to the N-series range and the successor to the very popular Nokia N95. With familiar features, such as the 5 Megapixel camera, integrated GPS with Nokia Maps, Wi-Fi and 3G, users can expect the same quality as its predecessor but with a number of specification and design enhancements too.

The new handset has a faster 3G connection, which will speed up data downloads, ideal for users downloading large amounts or lots of data and a bigger internal memory, as well as a whole new operating system and improved interface. Looks wise the N96 has been rounded off and changed in colour to black, making it a good looking business tool, as well as a function powerhouse.

So, in a nutshell the N96 is an upgraded version of the comprehensive N95 and further builds on user’s requirements for a high specification handset that offers everything you need in one mobile device.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is the first ever clamshell handset from RIM, who up until now firmly favoured the ‘candy bar’ design. This addition to the line up is a completely new design and has all you would expect from the popular Pearl with a number of significant developments, pertinent to the business user.

In essence the BlackBerry 8220 is almost an evolution of all the previous Pearl models in one. Whilst the original 8100 offered the first camera, the 8120 featured Wi-Fi and the 8110 included GPS, this new model combines these features, but offers BlackBerry Maps as opposed to GPS.

Not only is the handset packed full of features, the flip device is slick to look at and also lightweight as well. There is a much more definitive feel to the 'SureType®' keypad because of the bigger keys, and it also keeps up the BlackBerry tradition of having exceptional battery life.

This really is an all round mobile email device, maybe not in the same league as the BlackBerry Bold, but certainly a less expensive, stylish and very worthy alternative.
